Foreverland Kick Off With First Event Of 2016
Foreverland has now embedded itself into Bournemouth as a major events brand. They have already ran a series of successful events, and the first party of 2016 was no exception. The party, which was held in Bournemouth’s Old Fire Station, saw garage DJ Matt Jam Lamont, bassline DJ Bassboy and his MC C4, and house duo GotSome all join the lineup.
Foreverland have certainly raised the bar for events in Bournemouth giving partygoers a taste of some excellent DJs as well as a playful and fun atmosphere. Inflatables, face painters and themed decorations all come as standard to bring out your inner child.
Matt Jam Lamont, the garage DJ, has been going since the 1990s. The DJ’s talent and extensive experience comes through during his sets, and was a perfect start to the first Foreverland of the year. Warming up the night with a bit of garage was perfect before moving onto the bass-heavy sets of the following artists.
Bassboy and his MC accomplice are known in Bournemouth for playing popular bassline sets. They made an appearance alongside Preditah and DJ Q back in October and continue to DJ at local events. They played a high energy set, ready for GotSome to swoop in on the decks after them. C4’s MCing got the crowd in the mood and made sure Foreverland continued on another pass to success.
Headliners GotSome have made a name for themselves as excellent producers in house and bass music. They’ve gained a considerable amount of support from broadcasters like BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac and BBC Radio 1 Xtra’s Mistajam, as well as other DJs and producers such as Kry Wolf, My Nu Leng, Jack Beats and Basement Jaxx. The DJing duo exploded onto the scene and have since made a number of big tracks including ‘Bassline’ and ‘Vibe Out’, which have been played in clubs across the planet. Foreverland welcomed there duo into the Old Fire Station, and the pair made sure no one was disappointed! For a headline set, it wasn’t Foreverland’s best ever booking, but it made for a very enjoyable night. The pair’s mixing of newer bass songs and older favourites was one to remember.
Rising star Taim runs an events company in Bournemouth named Elysium. He now has a residency with Foreverland too, and has shown off his ever-growing popularity. The DJ ended the whole night perfectly, navigating through his very own bass-heavy set, dropping even more dirty tunes for everyone to enjoy. Keeping the good vibes flowing, Taim made perfection until the very end note.
Foreverland made sure that once again they are at the top of the events game in Bournemouth. Again, showing off a group of great DJs and artists, mixing them with their unique, fun and childish vibe. Foreverland’s next event is to celebrate their one year anniversary. Lineup and tickets available at: https://www.facebook.com/events/171269636579076/
