The Study Break at Poole Lighthouse

The Study Break is an evening of live music produced by Poole Lighthouse’s Young Programmers, Young Technicians and Young Reviewers featuring two of the hottest upcoming local bands.

Headlining the event will be Hampshire Indie outfit New Desert Blues. The five piece, who released debut album ‘To Be My Own‘ in January have been described by NME as ‘More self assured and stadium ready than ever’ and will no doubt put on quite a show for the intimate Poole crowd.

Also on the bill as main support is Liphook Folk group Emmay. The trio – 2 sisters and a brother, have performed at numerous UK festivals including Isle of Wight and Portsmouth’s Victorious and released debut EP ‘Write This Down‘ in July 2015.

Ultimately the evening is about unwinding at a stressful time of year. The Study Break is put on by young people looking to make it into the live music scene, so get down and show your support!

The Study Break will take place on Friday 20th May at Poole Lighthouse with doors at 7:30pm.
