Jamie T Preview
Jamie T; the man that ended a four year silence earlier this year with the announcement of an upcoming album. The Wimbledon born singer/songwriter first signed with Virgin Records in 2007 and released two Eps. Since then Jamie T had a run of success with his first album ‘Panic Prevention’. The NME-award winner received a lot of airplay from BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe who made Jamie’s singles ‘Salvador’ and ‘Back In The Game’ his Hottest Record In The World. His second album ‘Kings and Queens’ showed him even more success, and propelled Jamie further into the limelight. ‘Sticks n Stones’, arguably Jamie T’s most famous song, and although it only peaked at number 15 in the UK, it took the singer to the next level.
Jamie T played numerous secret sets at British festivals this summer including Reading and Leeds, which has seen him explode back in the music industry. People did not anticipate the scale at which Jamie T has made a comeback this summer, and his third album ‘Carry on the Grudge’ has certainly changed the tone, having a considerably chilled out tone.
Now, Jamie T is playing the O2 Guildhall in Southampton. The 31st October will see the singer perform at his biggest South Coast show. A Halloween performance seems a fitting time for Jamie T’s single ‘Zombie’.
