Glastonbury Announce New Festival Phone Charging Solution

Every year it’s the same issue. You take your phone to a festival but there’s no way to charge it up: and modern smartphones barely last a day on a full charge.

Well, this year at Glastonbury, mobile network giant EE have come up with a solution that they are trialling. It is an unlimited charging solution, as well as 4G-powered wifi for this year’ so Glastonbury-goers.

The EE Festival Power Bar is a portable charger that is compatible with most modern smartphones. It is available to purchase from EE until June 9th 2014, and it will cost £20 plus postage and packaging. When the power bars run out of energy, you will be able to go to the ‘dedicated EE Exchange Cabin’ and swap it for a fully charged bar. Power Bar users will be able to swap their bar as we many times as they want over the weekend, and the bar you end up with at the end, you will be able to take home with you.
