Preview: Gottwood

It’s that time of year again, the beginning of summer is approaching and festival lineups are starting to take shape. In turn festival goers have to make the hard decision of where to invest their money. And, with Gottwood Festival approaching it’s tenth instalment, expect the team to go all out to put on a show to remember.

The annual party, hidden in the depths of a Welsh forest, provide an independent, boutique and very intimate underground electronic music festival experience that combines an array of diverse sounds from across the electronic spectrum. Expect big established names rubbing shoulders with the currently lesser known talent.

The first round of names have been released including a mix of more than ninety DJs and live acts. Some of these include Craig Richards, Antal, Josey Rebelle, Hunee, KiNK, Margaret Dygas, Move D, Nicolas Lutz, Orpheu The Wizard, Peter Van Hoesen, Peach, Skee Mask, Saoirse, Sonja Moonear, Palms Trax, Mor Elian and Andrew Weatherall, who will go back-to-back with Manfredas.

For a deeper bass sound, there are sets from the likes of Skeptical, Radioactive Man, 2 Bad Mice and Egyptian Lover, who will play live. Gottwood Festival will take place between the 6th and 10th of June at Carreglwyd Estate in Wales.

This five thousand capacity festival is an absolutely must for any underground techno fan this summer with hedonistic parties stretching long into the night. Growing from it’s strengths each year and now approaching its tenth anniversary, Gottwood has made a positive mark on the UK festival scene. It is truly a party that surely can’t be missed.
