The Who Announced for Isle of Wight Festival Saturday Night
Legendary London Rock band, The Who, have been announced as the Saturday night headliners for this year’s Isle of Wight Festival in a UK festival exclusive. Also announced as a special guest is The Verve’s lead singer Richard Ashcroft
The appearance will be The Who’s first Isle of Wight Festival slot since headlining in 2004. The Who also played the original Isle of Wight Festival in 1969 and 1970.
The Who will join the already announced Welsh Rock band, Stereophonics, London Dance group, Faithless, and legendary London Rock band Queen + Adam Lambert.
Also set to perform across the weekend are Adam Ant, Alabama 3, Blossoms, Busted, Buzzcocks, Cast, The Coors, The Damned, Everything Everything, The Family Rain, Feeder, Gabrielle Aplin, The Godfathers, Gutterdammerung, Half Moon Run, The High Kings, Iggy Pop, Jess Glynne, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Lissie, Pendulum (DJ Set), Reef, Reverend and the Makers, The Second Sons, Sex Pissed Dolls, Sigma Live, Sixx:A.M., Sunset Sons, Turin Brakes, Twin Atlantic and The Wonder Stuff.
This year’s festival will be the Isle of Wight’s 15th anniversary since the relaunch of the festival in 2002 and will take place between Thursday 9th and Sunday 12th June at Seaclose Park in Newport.
