Mutiny Festival To Celebrate 5th Birthday

The south coasts biggest annual dance party, Mutiny Festival returns this year for their fifth anniversary celebration.

Organisers have pulled out all the stops with the lineup this year, attracting four exciting main stage headliners for the first time ever!

Co-headlining the Saturday night of the festival will be certified platinum London rapper Dizzee Rascal, responsible for a catalogue of big hits including ‘Bonkers’ and ‘Dance Wiv Me’. Drum & bass moguls Sub Focus and Wilkinson are ready to play a back-to-back set, which will close the main stage. This is a massive scoop for Mutiny as it will be the dnb pair’s only UK festival appearance together this summer.

Sunday will see a headline performance from the garage legend that is Craig David. The Southampton singer/producer topped the UK Album Chart with his last record ‘Following My Intuition’, which has seen him play some massive shows since returning to prominence over the last three years. Jamaican Grammy winner Sean Paul will also headline the Sunday. The rapper recently released his new single ‘Tin Pon It’, produced alongside US dance music heavyweights Major Lazer.

In the Big Top tent this year, we get the pleasure of welcoming dance music DJ royalty Pete Tong back to Portsmouth for a Saturday night headline set. Drum & bass legend Andy C will headline on the Sunday – securing his Mutiny Festival debut!

New for this year will be the On A Mission Chemical Plant Stage, which will be topped by dnb supergroup SASASAS and Chris Lorenzo’s Bass Mentality. Also appearing across the weekend are Dr Ofori (Michael Dapaah), Idris Elba, Kojo Funds, Kurupt FM, BBC Radio 1’s Mistajam, bassline legends My Nu Leng and many more.

Mutiny Festival will take place at King George V Playing Fields on the outskirts of Portsmouth on the bank holiday weekend of 26-27th May. There are very limited tickets remaining here.
