inSYNC’s Latest ‘Needed’ Track: Twenty One Pilots ‘Ride’

inSYNC’s latest ‘Needed’ track hails from Columbus, Ohio in the form of one of the world’s most exciting bands, Twenty One Pilots with their new single ‘Ride’. Twenty One Pilots formed in 2009 and joined Warner Music Group’s Fueled by Ramen in 2012.

Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, also known as Twenty One Pilots released their second album since signing for Fueled by Ramen ‘Blurryface’ in May last year, with the album quickly getting to #14 in the UK album charts and #1 in the US.

Blurryface featured singles ‘Fairly Local’, ‘Tear in My Heart’ and ‘Lane Boy’, as well as the massively successful ‘Stressed Out’, which was in the Billboard Hot 100 top five from 23rd January to 9th April, of which it peaked at #2.

Like every song Twenty One Pilots have ever written, Ride has a solid foundation with deep lyrics that mean a great deal to vocalist, Tyler Joseph. In an interview in 2013, Tyler referenced how easy it is to say ‘I would die for you'; lyrics that would eventually become a foothold in the song ‘Ride’, which of course wasn’t released until a couple of years after the interview was filmed.

Not only are the lyrics massively meaningful but the track is also one of the most catchy on the Blurryface album with an almost Reggae feel to it, and when the duo perform it live it sounds absolutely incredible; and for these reasons, Ride by Twenty One Pilots is inSYNC’s ‘Needed’ track of the week.

Twenty One Pilots will play at Radio 1’s Big Weekend this Saturday, before returning to the UK in late August for Reading and Leeds Festivals; whilst sandwiching in a massive North American headline stadium and arena tour in between.
