Back in 1970, the day after legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix died, the first edition of England’s most prestigious festival began in Somerset. Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis had been inspired to create his own festival by the Blues Festival at the Bath & West Showground. It was attended by 1,500 people
