Isle of Wight Festival Announce Queen & Adam Lambert as 2016 Headliner

This morning, the UK’s original festival announced the first act of the 2016 festival. The Isle of Wight Festival, whichwill take place from the 9th to 12th June 2016, today said that Queen & Adam Lambert will close the festival.

Queen, who recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of their record breaking single ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ said, “When I think of The Isle of Wight Festival I think of Hendrix, Dylan and The Who. What immortal company to be in.”

This will be the band’s only UK show next year, and will be Adam Lambert’s first show in the UK. The new singer recently took over leading the band as a replacement for the late Freddie Mercury.

Next year will the Isle of Wight’s 15th anniversary since the relaunch of the festival in 2002.

We can’t wait to see what else they’ll pull out the bag for 2016.
