inSYNC’s Top Announcement Picks (November 14th 2016)
Every Monday we’re going to be showing you our top release picks of the week. This week will see us discuss Isle of Wight Festival’s first headliner announcement for 2017, Annie Mac’s festival Lost & Found’s lineup announcement for the third helping of the Maltese dance event, We Are FSTVL’s lineup announcement and addition of camping for the first time and the Funk & Soul Weekender 2017 lineup.
Isle of Wight Festival
Isle of Wight has a rich history starting way back in 1968, and always boasting to of been the only UK festival to have Jimi Hendrix play. The festival has since had some of the world’s biggest and best bands headline including Blur, Fleetwood Mac, Stereophonics, Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon to name but a few.
Last week the festival announced that their 2017 Saturday headliner would be Canadian six-piece indie band Arcade Fire. After the group’s 2014 headline slot at Glastonbury, they will be back in the UK once more to top the island festival’s bill. The festival released this video:

Lost & Found Festival
After inSYNC’s debut trip to Malta earlier this year, Annie Mac’s dance music festival is to grace the Mediterranean island for a third year. The festival is the first of its kind on the island and packs in some of the world’s best DJs to three days of boat parties, castle raves and pool parties all set in the beautiful landscape of Malta
This week the BBC Radio 1 DJ announced the lineup for the 2017 festival, taking place at the later date of April 13th to 16th instead of in March. 2017 will see Annie Mac herself headline, alongside DJ legend Armand Van Helden, Hot Creations label boss Jamie Jones and DJing super-group J.E.S.U.S (Jackmaster, Eats Everything, Seth Troxler and Skream).

We Are FSTVL
We Are FSTVL is Essex’s biggest annual party. The day festival has been a big thing at Damyns Hall Aerodrome in Upminster for a number of years, and has hosted a ton of big name DJs including Armand Van Helden, Maya Jane Coles and Ben Pearce to name but a few.
The first instalment of the 2017 lineup has been announced, as well as the very exciting news of the addition of camping for the first time. Next year Armand Van Helden will take a top spot on the bill, alongside techno godfather Carl Cox, electronic duo Basement Jaxx and German DJ/producer Dixon, plus many more.

The Funk & Soul Weekender
The Funk & Soul Weekender is the UK’s funkiest festival held at Camber Sands in May. The Weekender has a unique selection of music from hip hop beats and future soul to disco and afro-beat. There is something for everyone “blending good time with unmissable talent across 3 days!”
Last week the festival announced the 2017 lineup for the Weekender, which is taking place from 12th – 14th May next year. Funk and soul legend George Clinton will headline an electric live show performing alongside sixteen-piece Parliament Funkadelic. Joining him is Hot 8 Brass Band, The Sugarhill Gang, Norman Jay MBE and many more.
