Good Neighbours Close Adolescence Tour with Feel-Good Finale in Portsmouth
I attended the final sold-out UK show of Good Neighbours’ Adolescence Tour, performed by duo Scott and Oli. This was also my first visit to Kola, a newer venue tucked away in Central Southsea, Portsmouth — just a short stroll from the beach. It’s a charming, intimate space, and on this night, it was packed wall to wall with eager concert-goers.
I arrived just in time to catch the support act, Yuneki, who captivated the audience with her alt-indie pop sound and refreshingly honest lyricism. Her stage presence was endearing, and she quickly won over the crowd with her heartfelt performance.
Good Neighbours took to the stage to a warm and enthusiastic reception. Opening with Kids Can’t Sleep, they immediately lit up the room. The chemistry between Oli and the audience was electric, and every song they performed was met with cheers and singalongs, with fans enthusiastically belting out lyrics throughout the set.

Oli’s stage presence was particularly magnetic. He spoke to the crowd with ease, even poking fun at their label as a “TikTok band” by jokingly asking how many boyfriends had been dragged along by their partners (paraphrased). It was genuinely touching to see so many couples in the crowd singing to each other — I can easily imagine Home becoming a popular wedding first dance song in the future.
Though the stage was small, Oli made full use of it, dancing and interacting with the entire room throughout the night. You could tell they had really hit their stride by this point in the tour — the whole band played with a tight chemistry that only comes from playing night after night.
A heart-warming highlight came mid-set when they surprised a member of their crew with a harmonised rendition of Happy Birthday, complete with a birthday cake brought on stage — a small but memorable moment that added to the night’s feel-good atmosphere.
They wrapped up the set with a crowd-pleasing cover of Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso, a track that, at the time of writing, has racked up over 641,000 views on Triple J’s YouTube channel. The choice was a hit, sending the crowd into one last singalong before the night came to a close.
I first heard of Good Neighbours through a friend who recommended Home — a nostalgic, upbeat pop anthem that feels like it could easily soundtrack a youthful summer. After seeing them live, I can wholeheartedly recommend catching a show if you get the chance. The infectious energy, tight musicianship, and feel-good vibes made for an unmissable live experience.
