inSYNC’s ‘Needed’ Track of the Week: ‘Hard To Be Myself’ by Fickle Friends

Fickle Friends are an indie pop band originating from Brighton. The group was formed in 2013, touring extensively and played at 53 festivals even when they weren’t signed to a label or publisher. The five-piece were eventually picked up by Polydor Records, releasing their debut LP last Friday whilst amidst a UK tour.

The group’s music has an electronic element within its production whilst also using upbeat melodies and catchy rhythms. Like other recently successful indie bands, including Wolf Alice, Fickle Friends consists of four men and the all-important frontwoman and main vocalist. This week’s ‘Needed’ track ‘Hard To Be Myself’ is incredibly catchy and in recent months has helped cement Fickle Friends’ place as one of Britain’s best upcoming talents.
