Review: Andy C at The Main University Hall, Plymouth

Drum & bass maestro Andy C has had an impressive career spanning almost three decades. The producer has won a multitude of awards, most notably his award for Best DJ at the 2011 Drum & Bass Arena Awards. Proving to be one of the world’s best DJs, Andy C has played some high profile gigs and at some of the biggest festivals including Glastonbury, Creamfields and Benicassim. Taking all this into consideration, it means it’s even more exiting when the dnb legend plays an intimate gig in a small venue.

Making our debut in Plymouth, inSYNC caught drum & bass maestro Andy C for a special end of university Christmas party. Andy C played a special two-hour set at Plymouth University’s Main Hall, the city’s main student hotspot for underground music events. The high octave, fast-paced set was expected from Andy C, throwing in a vast selection of dnb classics including the ever popular ‘Bricks Don’t Roll’ by DJ Hazard. The track is arguably the most famous drum & bass track of all time and is dropped countless times during races across the globe.
