inSYNC’s ‘Needed’ Track of the Week: ‘Ordinary Pleasure’ by Toro y Moi

Since the beginning of the decade American singer/songwriter and producer Toro y Moi has been championing the chillwave and synth-pop genres both sides of the Atlantic. The thirty-two year old plays a multitude of instruments and producers easy-listening music demonstrated through his impressive instrumentation and arrangements.

With Toro y Moi’s highly anticipated new album ‘Outer Peace’ due out in the New Year, it seems fitting to choose the album’s lead single as our ‘Needed’ track the week. ‘Ordinary Pleasure’ embodies tribalistic drum beats and futuristic synthy melodies that also combine Moi’s intricate lyricism and a funky bassline to create an electro-pop track that certainly has a brain. If this is what is to come from Toro y Moi’s new record then we can’t wait.
