inSYNC’s Latest ‘Needed’ Track: Metronomy ‘Old Skool’

Electronic indie four-piece Metronomy have announced their firth studio album, dubbed ‘Summer 08′, will be released on July 1st. They have also shared the album’s first single ‘Old Skool’, so we thought it only appropriate that it becomes our latest ‘Needed’ track.

The band’s frontman Joe Mount appeared on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show last week to premiere the new works. Speaking to Mac, Mount said that the forthcoming album was ”the most fun thing I’ve done in a long time”.

The album is supposedly a sequel of the band’s 2008 album ‘Nights Out’. The band’s last album, ‘Love Letters’, was released in 2014. Speaking to Q Magazine about the new album Mount said, “I just wanted to make an uptempo record. I wanted to try and do another record that captures that fading memory of being a bit younger and going to clubs, but with the confidence I didn’t have then.” We wait eagerly for Metronomy’s upcoming album.
